Join us for a unique Plant Medicine Workshop at Vinnocki Flower Farm, led by Shontel Sutton Heim of Ziva Rain Botanicals. During this engaging experience, you'll embark on a native and garden medicinal plant walk, where you'll have the opportunity to identify, touch, smell, and even taste various plants that thrive in our surroundings.
As part of the workshop, we will create a dandelion digestive tonic, harnessing the natural benefits of this remarkable plant. Alongside this hands-on activity, enjoy sipping on herbal teas crafted from our farm's bounty and indulge in delicious farm-fresh snacks that highlight the flavors of the season.

This workshop is perfect for those looking to deepen their understanding of plant medicine while enjoying a serene and nurturing environment. Arrive, have a cup of herbal tea or cool beverage, settle in and check out the flower fields.
Welcome - Opening circle and introductions.
Plant Walk led by Shontel to walk and talk about native and garden plants, you will be encouraged to touch, smell and taste the various plants. A very visceral experience (60 minutes).
Dandelion Tonic - you will make a dandelion tonic, including harvesting, cleaning and preparing the tonic. Shontel will demonstrate how to create a tonic as well as offer best practices and techniques for plant medicine making. The tonic you make is your to take home and enjoy (it will need to sit for several weeks before consuming it). All materials and supplies will be provided.
Sample several farm delights - such as violet kombucha, dandelion tonic and cookies.
End of the day You will be invited to harvest some of what is available as well as take three live plants home.

Shontel started her plant path 30 years ago dabbling with herbal medicine. Since then she has participated in many herbal courses in the field and classroom. Shontel is her community’s herbalist with a passion for growing and wildcrafting herbs, teaching and making medicine. She is also a mama, massage therapist, yoga teacher and Reiki master with an office and apothecary in Old Town Silverdale.
If you would like to know more about how to heal yourself through plant based medicine you definitely want to get to know Shontel. She’s very approachable, kind and able to meet you where you are at. As well as very diligent about her care and approach to plant based medicine.
